Enchanting French Wedding Inspiration at Silver Oaks Chateau

I had been following Elizabeth Lloyd‘s work for some time so when I had the opportunity to work with her on a styled wedding shoot she was organizing, I jumped at it! Not only was she putting together an amazing team of St. Louis area wedding vendors, but the shoot location was Silver Oaks Chateau, a gorgeous venue modeled after a chateau in the French countryside, nestled on the edge of some enchanting woods– um, hello… unless you’re very new here, it’s pretty obvious I am obsessed with all things French : ) I had only seen this venue in photos and I was already swooning.

Mood boards were sent, ideas were emailed, a brainstorming group meeting took place over coffee and baked goods ; ) … and weeks later each of us creatives showed up with our individual efforts to make something pretty magical. Just see for yourself…

The invitation suite I created featured handmade blue and metallic marbled paper, a touch of gold foil, blush pink and dusty blue papers, and wax seals. I designed a crest for the couple featuring a romantic wreath framing their initials which was carried through onto other details like the decorated sugar cookies on the dessert table.

Bride Getting Ready Wedding Day

The spring day was dark and stormy which only added to the romance.

That blush gown!! Also, these two sweethearts were just electric together.

The intimate and amazingly romantic ceremony was held in the chateau’s conference room in front of a charming fireplace and surrounded by loads of candlelight.

Married! Time to celebrate downstairs in the grand hall!

Some hand-lettered artwork was incorporated on the Signature Drink sign and Seating Chart. Both frames are available for rent now.

The wreath design in blush pink and dusty blue was repeated on the place cards and the menus featured metallic gold twine sealed with rose and gold wax.

This was such a fun day and you could genuinely feel the love and chemistry between our bride and groom- definitely the most romantic styled shoot I’ve ever been a part of!
